Experience
Mr. Ezhumalai Ratanam has over 37 years of experience with the Fire & Rescue Department, specializing in firefighting operations, emergency response, fire prevention enforcement, and fire safety training. He served in various leadership and operational roles from 1980 to 2017, including Fire Officer and Leader, Fire Safety Trainer, and Senior Fire Superintendent.
Key Roles
He spearheaded fire prevention enforcement activities, trained emergency response personnel, and conducted fire safety awareness programmes across various sectors. He also developed and implemented fire safety procedures while providing training in firefighting techniques and community fire safety awareness. In his role as Senior Fire Superintendent, he oversaw firefighting operations, led training initiatives, ensured compliance with safety regulations, and strengthened emergency preparedness and public safety standards.
